MAY CROWNING OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

May Crowning is a traditional Roman Catholic ritual held during the  month of May.  It is a solemn procession at the close of the procession a statue of the Blessed Virgin is crowned with a garland or crown of flowers honoring Mary as “the Queen of May.”

In honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we encourage you to say the Rosary every day during the month of May. The rosary is a powerful prayer and is a devotion in honor of the Virgin Mary.

MOTHER’S DAY MASS CARDS

The Mother’s Day Mass cards are in the back of the church. Please write the name of the mother being honored on the large envelope and place your donation inside.  Keep the card and smaller envelope to send to the person for whom the Mass is being celebrated.  If you are honoring a deceased mother, please use the “In Memory of a Mother” envelope.  Mother’s Day is May 11th.

** Please return the large envelope with the names so the Mass intentions may be kept on the altar during the month of May.
