As part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month to honor breast cancer patients and survivors and the people who love them.

Jesus calls us into a deep love relationship, and we are called to bring others to him. As Catholic Christians, we are to be a people of prayer who are in an active relationship with God. We are also called to be a people of the Word of God, who read the Word of God daily, and who take the Word to heart so that it is expressed in our daily lives – the Word that is Jesus Christ.

The Ananias Program is a 2-Day program that will be offered from 6-8 p.m. on Friday evening, October 14^th  and from 9 am – 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 15^th.  Mass will follow at 4:00 pm at Blessed Seelos.  For further information, please contact Deacon Richard Smith at (228) 313-9417 or Deacon M.J. This is to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary in gratitude for the protection that she gives the Church in answer to the praying of the Rosary by the faithful.  We will continue to pray the rosary before every Mass.

Congratulations to Tha Thi Nguyen for receiving this year’s Lumen Christi (“Light of Christ”) medal.  This award is presented to those who have been outstanding in their service in their parishes.  The medals will be presented at the Cathedral on Saturday, September 24^th at the 4 pm Mass.  The ceremony is open to the public.

Come join us next Sunday, September 18^th for Mass and our parish Time Capsule Burial Ceremony!  Our time capsule will include pictures, letters, bulletins, etc. to be unearthed in 25 years!!  We will also have a fellowship breakfast in the parish hall.

“Return Home to Your Catholic Faith”

On September 17^th & 18^th, we will celebrate National Back to Church Sunday.  This is a great time to offer an invitation to those we know that have fallen away from the Church.

Our SPEAK (Sisters Praying Encouraging and Aspiring to Know God) prayer group will be hosting an all-day Retreat. Come and join us on a journey as we explore the Book of Jeremiah.  This retreat will be open to both women and men. In addition to our guest speakers,  you will have the opportunity to participate in Adoration and Confession as well as 5 pm Mass. The retreat is free to attend.  Registration is required.
